On Friday August 24, Posse were lucky enough to attend the Cotton On runway show at Mercedes Benz Sydney Fashion Week. The night was a showcase of their new Spring/Summer collection for 2012/13 featuring Cotton On’s take on this season’s essentials.
Didier Cohen opened the show in an open denim shirt and denim shorts. There were many more denim on denim looks to follow, with plenty of light denim and chambray; a fresh look for Summer.
After the denim came the pastel. Beautiful feminine pastel colours, often teamed with floral prints. To contrast, tough look metallics and edgy monochrome prints came down the runway next.
Lastly, the prominent feature on the runway was popping neon. Whether it was in the shoes, bags, shirts, jackets or pants, neon colours touched many outfits on the runway.
Over all the show was very impressive, and definitely inspired a visit to the nearest Cotton On store.
Our wonderful host for the evening, Katrina, showed us down to the Festival Hub in which we received VIP treatment. Katrina guided us around the Hub and told us more about the show and the festival. We had our make-up done by Maybelline, posed for photos in a Mercedes Benz, enjoyed our free goodie bags, and were given glasses of champagne with delicious canapés. We even spotted the beautiful Whitney Port sipping on champagne in the Hub.
Thank you Posse and The City of Sydney for a wonderful experience!!
