It’s due time we feature our friend Jodie Fox, one of the three founders of  Shoes of Prey- a site allowing you to custom design ‘your perfect shoes’. Genius right!? Jodie’s racked up an enviable shoe collection- coyly stating that it’s in triple figures- and has built up a fantastic list of go-to places which she shares via Posse. Why? “Because the recommendations are totally curated and totally relevant for me. It’s the fastest way for me to figure out what I’ll love when I need to find a new spot for dinner – and more.

Here’s her A-Z:

Gelato MessinaI have just one addiction at the moment – gelato. Check the daily specials for crazy new combinations, but my two staple flavours are: salted caramel and salted mango and coconut.

TokoGreat ambiance, divine cocktails, luscious super-fresh sashimi presented like artwork. Must try: truffle kingfish sashimi and the smoked miso salmon.

Billy Kwong Chinese Eating HouseRethink everything you know about Australian Chinese food. Light, fresh, not oily and ridiculously full of flavour. Casual, intimate vibe – highly recommend.

Spice I amCheap and cheerful, the best Thai mains in Sydney

Sticky BarGreat cocktails, cool hidden-bar entrance that is kind of quirky and impressive. Head there on a Weds night for a roast and glass of wine for $15.

Shoes of PreyOk, ok, this is my business! Come and design your perfect pair of shoes :)

Desmond and Molly JonesElliot carefully trims my long tresses and Grace does a fab ballyage. Very cute boutique salon if you’re tired of cookie cutter salon service.

Reuben HillsCool decor. I love the cerviche for breakfast… and although I’ve never had it the salted caramel milkshake is a constant temptation. Coffee isn’t so good, service is fab.

 Sydney City and the East

Grasshopper- Faultlessly flattering amber light, sweet cocktails and French brasserie upstairs. This local eating house has low ceilings and decor with a touch of worn love, perfect for a casual dinner or drinks in the Sydney city lane ways.

VenustusThe best facial I have ever had. Try the “celebrity” and be completely blissed out when part way through the dreamy treatment a second therapist comes in and massages your worries away.

Eau De VieEasily my favorite bar in Sydney. A secret speakeasy worth finding. Bartenders with style and drinks that you’ll forget have alcohol. Curl up here for an evening of pecorino and rosemary popcorn and some old French Absinthe.

Ananas Bar and BrasserieStunning step into art-deco Paris. Think blue velvet, gold trim, french champagne and oysters. incredible ambiance that’s totally date-worthy.

Kitchen by MikeI have been known to come for breakfast and stay on for lunch. Fresh, simple, tasty food set in a converted warehouse. Interior design and chef perfection.

The Bitton CafeGorgeous French cafe, child and pet friendly. The homemade baked beans are the best… as is the seasonal jam!

The World

Jak’s (London)Yummy healthy food, take away or dine in. Fast service.

Stumptown Coffee Roasters (NYC)Best coffee I’ve had in the USA, hands down. And, their hot chocolate is so rich that it’s impossible to finish… just try… but don’t say I didn’t warn you! Take your coffee into the Ace Hotel lobby and flip open your Macbook Pro to get amongst the entrepreneurial buzz.

Sevva (Hong Kong)- Incredible city views and stunning martinis. Great to catch up with a small group or for a date.

Life Cafe (Hong Kong)Organic vegetarian perfection with awesome ambiance. I go here at least once a day when I am in Hong Kong!
Giolitti (Rome)Only the BEST gelato in Rome. And when they ask you “con panna?” the answer is “si!”
