The Best Places According to Lars Rasmussen- Facebook

March 27, 2013 at 3:12 am

It’s high time we share the favourite places of Lars Eilstrup Rasmussen co-founder of Google Maps, Director of Engineering at Facebook and- luckily for us- a Director at Posse. Lars has recommended a nice little mix of places on Posse, mainly between Sydney and San Francisco. We have no doubt that he’s your go-to man if you’re looking for restaurants with a great view, impeccable food and excellent cocktails… and if you’d like to get them on the go, download our awesome new iPhone app!

Tetsuya’s - World class Japanese-French 12-course degustation :) Amazing!

Whitewater Restaurant - Swank’n'modern right on Manly Beach. I’ve eaten here probably more than any other restaurant in the world :) Great breakfast on the weekends!

Sushi E - Awesome sushi and world-class cocktails in swank lounge atmosphere :) Sit at the counter and watch the chefs work their magic…

Otto Ristorante - Long lazy luxurious lunches and great people watching. Arrive by water taxi for extra points!

Hugos Manly - Awesome pizza and good cocktails while watching the Manly ferry come in :)

Single Origin Roasters - Quite possibly the world’s best coffee. Ever.

Quay Restaurant - World class food + world class views of bridge, opera house and ferry terminal.

Tamarine Restaurant - Swank Vietnamese + excellent cocktails in the heart of Silicon Valley. Always busy; book in advance!

Town Hall - Southern soul food with an upscale twist + excellent cocktail bar. The bread alone is worth a visit!

Salt House - Upscale contemporary american food in swank brick-and-timber settings. Yum :)

The Stinking Rose - I never went there, I was always worried that it was going to be a bit of a gimmicky restaurant, but if you say it’s good I’ll have to try it next time I’m in San Francisco.

Exploratorium - Every known science experiment for you to play with! Excellent for kids. Made me feel like one again for sure :)
