Patrick Boland is a freelance photographer who also works part time for Lomography Australia/NZ as an educator. We’re currently running a competition with Yen Magazine to win a Copernicus La Sardina prize pack, so we thought we’d have a quick chat with someone from the Lomo posse!
Hey Pat, tell us about yourself I shoot a lot of arts and theatre PR which is my passion but I love teaching Lomography workshops. Seeing people re-engage with film and the delight they experience when it clicks how film works after years now of diminishing returns on instant digital satisfaction is a great experience. People forget how much fun film is. How it makes you think differently about how and what you are going to shoot. And the excitment of getting your prints back from the lab. The time between shooting the film and getting the prints increases the delight response!
