I adore an independent bookstore and this one is just a tiny gem. The staff write loads of great recommendations and will help you find the perfect book for any occasion.

The cult label just opened their first LA store on Melrose Place and it’s a stunner, inside and out.

The best designer vintage game in town, in a boutique that’s run by truly knowledgable and friendly staff. This place is a treasure.

Owner Jeannie Lee has incredible taste and picks the best pieces from super desirable labels like Isabel Marant and Dominic Jones.

Even if you don’t like seafood, you will die for this incredible, seafood-focused restaurant. They also have a killer fried chicken sandwich that was just on the cover of Bon Appetit.

La Otra Escuela

Amazing tacos, plus the vibe is cool and fuss-free. Don’t miss the pork rib tacos (like sweet & sour pork in a taco, it’s brilliant, I promise) or the OG hardshell tacos.

Laurel Hardware

The scene is super cute and they have a delightful patio. Even better: the food is invariably delish (get the classic pizza, which is jalapeño and pepperoni, it’s wonderful), so I basically live here.

From the genius guys who did Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing in Venice. The food is southern-influenced but with a Cali vibe and it’s soooooooo good. I’m calling it Southern-farm-to-table, so don’t try to steal that phrase.
