Although it’s one of the lesser known international days, that doesn’t make International Tequila Day any less important. The 24th of July is a day to kick back with lime, salt and a taco to keep that beverage down! First produced in the 16th century, Tequila is harvested from the Blue Agave plant by ‘ jimadores’ (pictured) and is primarily found surrounding the Mexican city of Tequila! Whether you choose to celebrate with a frozen cocktail, a classic margarita, or straight like a true Mexican, Posse has compiled a list of awesome tequila bars from all over the world that will make for a memorable Tequila Day.
Where better to celebrate International Tequila Day than in Mexico itself! La Parilla is located in Cancun and is a popular night out for tourists and locals alike. Every night is a celebration when you have a buzzing atmosphere, plenty of tequila and live music in the form of traditional Mariachi bands!
Thanks to El Loco, you don’t have to go all the way to Mexico to celebrate Tequila Day! With $10 margaritas and DJ’s from 5pm, it’s sure to get a little loco (sorry we had to!).
