Tim Commandeur is an Australian musician who’s curls you probably remember from his days drumming for ARIA award-winning band, Operator Please! Tim’s all grown up, is still drumming and has expanded is repertoire into songwriting and hopefully soon, producing. He likes to mix it up, playing regular gigs with a number of different artists and bands, and aspires to add a few more slashes to his ‘drummer’ title. Most recently, Tim launched his own solo project, Alaskan Knight, and co-produced his debut EP, Cabin Fever, which you can (and should!) listen to here. We think Tim’s got pretty good taste so we asked him to share some of his more memorable destinations around the globe via Posse:

Gold Coast, Australia

My favourite cafe in my hometown! My friends and I were regular visitors when I was living there, it became our debriefing station. Also, the breakfast is out of control – either the Brekky Stack or Brekky burrito was always my pick, with a banana smoothie!

Another favourite place in my hometown. I used to go here a lot when I was a child. There’s rainforests and waterfalls, and it’s the perfect way to relax!

One of my favourite venues to play and see bands. It has such an electric atmosphere! I saw Miike Snow (one of my fav bands) play there, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever seen!

Febo is a hole in the wall (literally) fast food restaurant in Holland. Being half dutch, I grew up with a lot of dutch food, particularly krokets. And getting these ‘fresh’ and unlimited was something I’ll never forget.
