Get a good read on Kinokuniya winner, Levins!

December 6, 2012 at 11:14 pm

Take 1 chef, add a love of music, a big heart and add a pinch of comic books. Bake for 30 minutes and there you have it:

One Andrew Levins.

Andrew was the lucky (and well deserved) winner of our $500 Kinokuniya gift voucher.

His street is what really impressed us- but after chatting with Andrew after his win, we were pleasantly surprised at the sheer number of things this guy is involved with! Talk about not having time to read!

Tom-Evo1

Meet Tom:

He starts his day at his own training business, Evolution To Wellbeing in Maroubra. He wakes up with the sunrise every day and works with an amazing bunch of people; helping them to stay healthy, fit and active! With Summer finally here (and beach bodies on our minds), Posse thought it’d be a great time to profile a fitness fanatic!

Eats & Treats on Sarah’s Street

December 5, 2012 at 12:49 am

George Bernard Shaw once said, “There is no sincerer love than the love of food”. Marketing and Community Manger, Sarah Han from Banksmeadow’s Brasserie Breadtakes these words to heart! Her days revolve around writing about food, cramming her diary with dinners and lunches, photographing delicious breads & pastries and ensuring she never goes hungry in  the meantime! Sarah gave Posse the run-down on the top eateries in her street!

One of Sarah’s favourite breakfast spots is Reuben Hills, where she likes to down a salted caramel milkshake with her Reuben (wagyu brisket, coleslaw and manchego cheese on Brasserie Bread’s New York Rye). She recommends you order some first-rate coffee to wash it all down. If, like Sarah, you’re less of a morning person and more of a night owl, head to Stitch for fantastic cocktails and spiced curly fries. They’ve also got gourmet hot dogs and Pat & Stick’s ice cream sandwiches, which is a-okay by her!

Bright Cool Places from Bright Green Laces

November 18, 2012 at 11:17 pm

Posse had lots of fun with Shereen, author of the fabulous fashion blog; Bright Green Laces.  She gave us the lowdown on where to shop, eat, drink, read and shop some more.

Bright Green Laces is Shereen’s addictive fashion blog, where she shares her eclectic wardrobe and beautiful styling tips. The blog name came from her first major fashion purchase: a pair of plain converse that she customised with bright green shoe laces to stand out from the crowd.

Shereen lives, eats and breathes fashion, so we were dying to see where all her clothing and accessory gems are sourced from.  Living in Sydney’s Western Suburbs, Shereen tends to go on ‘purposeful’ shopping expeditions, regularly visiting her favourite stores. These are the special stores made her short list:

Innovative Art – Posse Meets Gallery 2010

November 8, 2012 at 2:48 am

We recently met style guru and Gallery 2010 owner, Sam Preston.

For those who haven’t heard of Gallery 2010, it is a contemporary gallery in a leafy Surry Hills garage.  Supporting emerging artists, Gallery 2010 is non –profit and curator-run.

Gallery 2010 is loved by many Posse fans and we had the pleasure of meeting Sam to find out which places she loves and recommends from around the world.

Here’s what she has to say…..

If you love to wine and dine cafe style, then the Revolver in Annandale will be your cup of tea.. Literally! In Sam’s opinion it is ‘the best café in Sydney, [which] ticks all the boxes’ – this is quite a claim! Revolver has some expectations to live up to!

A coffee lover, Sam insists Corduroy, in Surry Hills is the place to go for some caffeination! Corduroy use Little Marionette coffee which is deliciously smooth. Sam used to live near the Little Marionette Roastery in Annandale, but the Corduroy is now the closest purveyor.
